March 23, 2020
In light of the most recent recommendations from the CDC and the US Surgeon General’s office regarding COVID-19, we believe it is in the best interest of our students and ECC faculty to postpone all BLS, ACLS, and PALS classes scheduled for the month of April, 2020. This decision was not made lightly as we know that our students rely on instruction through the Foundation to maintain their AHA certification. I wish that I could offer assurance that a one-month closure will be adequate but you, as medical professionals, know that we are responding to this unprecedented event on a moment to moment basis.
We have recently received UPDATED 04/01/2020: Interim Guidance on Card Extensions during the COVID-19 Outbreak from the American Heart Association. Although this is suggested guidance and final decisions are left to individual facilities, click on the link for a copy of the document that you may find useful in discussing extensions of your current certification with your hospitals.
As always, our primary focus is on keeping patients, as well as our physicians, other healthcare professionals, and faculty safe. We look forward to being able to serve your educational needs in the very near future and, in the interim, please take care of yourselves! We appreciate all that you on the front lines of patient care do every day!

This CPR course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only® CPR, child CPR with breaths, adult and child Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use, infant CPR and relief of choking in an adult, child or infant. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment by using the American Heart Association’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.

This course is ideal for schools and students (over age 12), people who work within the community or come in contact with many people in their careers, and others interested in learning how to save a life.
